First Wedding Videography

Yes, you read that right! Justin and I completed our first wedding video. And it was so much fun! And we can’t help but thank Ana & Paul for trusting us to document their special day.

A little back story here, Justin shot wedding videos for friends and family years before, but this was the first time filming a project together as a couple. So Justin was a little rusty, and I of course had only experienced the photography side of things. I wondered… would I enjoy doing video as much as photography? I wasn’t sure. Justin on the other hand, was filled with excitement and nerves. He wanted to do his best in order to deliver the best to our clients.

This made me wish I invested in videography for My Wedding

We were able to step back more and blend in with the shadows and record moments as they were happening rather than posing couples (as we were used to with photography) And I loved videography for that reason! Candid footage. The genuine laughs, smile, the spontaneous pep talk your bridesmaid gives you before you walk down the aisle, none of these things were planned. It heightened my ability to just be an observer and capture moments as they happened. And it was a privilege to document these memories for the couple.

It made us so excited for the future and what’s to come for Oleson Photography.
